SIX27 CLUB

SIX27 CLUB

Political differences are ripping our country apart. We are living in a culture of contempt.
— Arthur Brooks
65% of American adults describe themselves as Christians.

How should Christians respond to this culture?

The greatest commandment requires us to love our neighbor as we love ourself. (Matthew 22:37-39)

Jesus said our neighbors include people we despise (Luke 10:29-37). He also commanded us to, “love your enemies! Do good to those who hate you. Bless those who curse you. Pray for those who hurt you.” (Luke 6:27-28)

The six27 club was launched to spark Christians to love our enemies as Jesus exhorts us to. We challenge followers of Jesus Christ to pick the politician they find the most unlovable and contemptible and to start praying for that person. We also challenge people to identify the most politically offensive person in their lives and start serving them, without wavering, regardless of their worthiness or how they respond. In other words, we’re challenging Christians to behave like Jesus commands us to.
