GRACE MACHINES

GRACE MACHINES

Years ago, I coined the term Grace Machines to describe people and organizations that automatically, tirelessly, and powerfully express God’s grace, providing a foretaste of his kingdom. While the simplest definition of grace is unmerited favor, it’s actually much more. Among other things, grace is unwavering, often shocking, and utterly countercultural – and it’s expressed through things like love, forgiveness, service, and sacrifice.

I have long been fascinated with the idea of using robots to represent Grace Machines. What follows are images developed by several artists/illustrators to help me render them. Enjoy.
